The scope for this project was to connect three separate buildings built in the 1920’s; two duplex residences and a two-story garage with an apartment into a single residence. We converted the existing 3,065 SF building into 4,212 SF by demolishing the middle garage and building a new two-story structure in its place, connecting the buildings together.
Due to the historic classification the brick and windows of the existing building were untouched. New windows were installed on the middle structure only. The original hardwoods were kept and reclaimed red oak was installed in the newly constructed middle building. Key features include iron windows and doors, shiplap walls, and a custom pool with water features.
